Social Skating For all skateboarding enthusiasts who don’t like the exuberant fun of Tony Hawks, skateboarding is the franchise for you. This is a series that has always emphasized realism, and the third installment, Skate 3, is no exception. Like the real sport, this game takes time and patience if you want to control its intricacies, even the simplest of tricks at first seem impossible. However, with skill and determination, it is incredibly worth it.

The most important addition to Skate 3 in the franchise is community focus. The game always advertises them and invites you to share your photos, videos and personalized parks. Everything in common is then stored in the cloud so people can access it whenever they want – increasing the already significant amount of content in games.
You can take part in individual events in a (theoretically) busy part of the center, take part in teams, and even take part in story events with a friend to make them easier. All this with one clear purpose: to blur the line between offline and online. Not without its flaws, such as the loneliness you feel when you enter a free play area, only to find that no one else seems to be playing, but for the most part it creates a compelling social experience.
Skate 3 is available to everyone. There are three levels of difficulty that change the challenge of cards and skaters’ skills to help you perform jumps and tricks. So, if you know what game you like, it should be a task that suits you.
Balance modeling and availability
The Skate franchise control system is incredible. The motion of the board is performed by the right analog stick, and you control the movement of the skater on the left (this is really one for the joystick). Combo and tricks require the professional use of sticks to perform, with movements such as Ollie requiring rapid movement with a straight stick down and then up. The same depth applies to the other tricks, with moretechnical movements, such as one or two handles, require true skill to succeed.
It is this complexity and reward that really elevates Skate 3 as a simulation. This makes it really satisfying when you use an aerial maneuver rather than just the usual arcade-focused Tony Hawk.
Graphics aren’t really a big leap forward for Skate 3. Despite the large, solid and diverse open world, nothing really impresses us. This may be due in large part to the fact that the inhabitants of the world are rather thin on the basis of social aspects on the Internet, which aim to populate this territory, a choice that usually makes a city feel like a ghost town.
Unfortunately, the big problem with games is the camera. It is often difficult to find the right angle for action, changing positions at awkward moments to make it more difficult for your character.

Skate 3 is a game for sports fans. It offers a great simulation experience, with the ability to change the city’s skate parks and all the social gaming features is definitely a step up from previous episodes. But we should not forget its negatives, such as the lack of various missions, camera problems and its often lonely experience on the Internet. In general, Skate 3 enhances and extends the gaming experience already known in the series.
