But members of the Kennedy audience are surprised to find that his plan involves shadowing Mike Burden, a Klansman member whose relationship with a single mother and high school friend forces him to re-examine his long-established beliefs. After Kennedy helps Mike leave his violent past behind, a Baptist preacher finds himself in a collision course with Tom Griffin, KKK’s chief handler. Faced with serious threats to him and his family, the determined Kennedy bravely follows a path to peace, leaving his own doubts aside in the hope of healing his wounded community.
